Find and defeat a wild shiny
A wild shiny sparkles and gets a direction indicator at the screen edge. Move toward it while keeping an escape route, then defeat it to add its shiny version to your collection. The encounter’s stronger stats can make chasing it risky.
Compare the three routes
A wild shiny check has probability 1/4096 for eligible spawns. Rift legends use a separate 1/512 eligible shiny check when the encounter is selected. Gacha uses 1/100 when a shiny sprite exists. These are different trials: enemies spawned and tickets spent. After n independent eligible checks, the probability of at least one success is 1 − (1 − p)^n. These formulas do not promise a shiny by a certain count.
Duplicates and eligibility matter
The gacha can reroute a shiny you already own to another missing shiny of the same rarity. When all such shinies are owned, it returns a normal partner instead. Therefore 1% is a base shiny check, not a universal chance of receiving a new shiny.
