PokéSurvivor Builds: Coverage, Evolutions & Bonds

Build for a specific role, then check that your partner can learn every move.

Ember starter: a ranged opening

A legal Charmander loadout is Ember, Fire Spin, Flamethrower and Quick Attack. Ember starts the run; max it and take Power to evolve into Fire Blast. Fire Spin provides an orbit pattern, Flamethrower a cone of short-range flames and Quick Attack a Normal dash option. Switch the active slot for the problem in front of you; unbonded moves do not fire together. A rift bond can connect complementary patterns. This is a source-legal planning example, not a tested optimal build.

Slowpoke: room for mistakes

A legal Slowpoke loadout is Confusion, Water Gun, Bubble and Aqua Ring. Its 110 base HP supports mistakes, Confusion gives a projectile start, Water Gun pierces and Bubble has a radial nova pattern. Aqua Ring is a healing buff rather than a damaging attack. Max Confusion and take Reflexes to unlock Psyshock. Max Water Gun with Power for Scald, and Bubble with Sprint for Surf. Keep the damaging slot active when you need kills; this is a planning example, not tested optimal performance.

Bulbasaur: close-range commitment

A legal Bulbasaur loadout is Vine Whip, Razor Leaf, Sludge and Swords Dance. Vine Whip starts the run; max it and take Power to unlock Power Whip. Razor Leaf supplies a ranged alternative, Sludge a Poison projectile and Swords Dance an attack buff. The active melee slot reduces incoming damage by 25%, but melee positioning remains risky. Switch or bond according to your needs; the plan does not make all four unbonded attacks run at once.

Four slots are a real constraint

The game offers new moves only while a slot is available and stops offering additional buff moves once you own two. A rift bond can combine damaging moves in a slot. Use the planner to inspect legal pools, evolution cards and why your chosen moves serve different jobs.

Type and held-item constraints

The game softens type effectiveness to 1.6× for a weakness, 0.6× for resistance and 0.3× for immunity, with dual-type results clamped between 0.3× and 2.4×. Choice Band gives +40% damage but locks your active move, so a build that relies on freely switching slots must account for that held item. These mechanics bound the examples; they do not establish a simulated DPS ranking.
